Lemme start with an introduction. I pretty much haven't really did one.
AFS Intercultural Programs (formely the American Field Service) is a worldwide, nonprofit organization that has been leading student exchange for more than 55 years. AFS was founded by volunteer ambulance drivers who survived World War I and II. They believed—as AFS believes today—that the way to build a more just and peaceful world begins when people from different countries and cultures meet, learn together, and better understand one another. The drivers sought to promote international understanding and peace through student exchanges. In 1947, AFS exchanged 52 young people from 11 countries formerly at war.

One thing about me is that i love volunteer for something where i can really learn something from abroad or from people that have more knowledge than me. I don't mind days and days of trainings or days and days of camps, as long as by the end of the camp, the main objective i want to achieve is to gain broader perspective of knowledge or to bring out the more outspoken side of me. I may nag and talk like so much but trust me, ayyyyyyyyyyyy lot of craps.
To those who follow my blog, i am pretty sure you've seen me posting a few AFS event i've volunteered. Now today, is another one. It is the State interview for the applicants from Malacca. Hopefully ill have more chance of volunteering in future. To those age 15 -17 years old, from anywhere of Malaysia, do check out about the programme offered (w/ or w/o scholarships). At this age, take the opportunity to learn the culture abroad, exchaning knowledge and cultures. It will be a life changing experience. Trust me. I personally did not manage to experience one of them, so i volunteered to learn from returnees about their experience. None of them would have trade their experience for any other thing. So if any of you happened to read this now, please, when the application is opened again, do not hesitate to apply! :)
Before i start nagging again, lemme start, about today. :)
Today was fun! This is the second time i volunteered for state interview, this year, sadly got lesser applicants, but it's okay, i am sure next year will be more! :) The volunteers are friendly, fun and co-operative. So fun to work with them! :)
I won't explain a lot about what we do, just pictures. So if you would like to know more, APPLY! :) Don't hesitate to, really.
The volunteers, Chloe, Alexis, Ke Shin, Ikram, Dinesh, Westeen
The interviewers, Encik Raja, Encik Luqman Ramli, Ms. Jolyn Tan
